Rapid testing could be a vital tool in tackling COVID-19 variants, says epidemiologist

According to a new analysis of recent Ontario data, coronavirus variants double the risk of someone being admitted to intensive care — and increase the risk of death by roughly 60 per cent. Epidemiologist Caroline Colijn says variants with higher transmission rates are most concerning and could pose a serious problem.
