Scheduling error or deliberate? Germany President Steinmeier left waiting for about 30 minutes on tarmac in Qatar
In an unusual diplomatic incident, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier found himself waiting on the tarmac upon his arrival in Doha, Qatar. Despite the presence of a red carpet, a military honor guard, and Germany’s ambassador to Qatar, Lothar Freischlader, no Qatari official was initially present to formally greet Steinmeier, a DW report said.

जर्मनी के राष्ट्रपति फ्रैंक वाल्टर स्टीनमीयर को उस वक्त असहज स्थिति का सामना करना पड़ा, जब उन्हें कतर में लैंड करने के बाद आधा घंटे विमान में ही इंतजार करना पड़ा। इसका वीडियो भी सामने आया है, जिसमें जर्मनी के राष्ट्रपति दोहा में उतरने के बाद विमान के गेट पर ही हाथ बांधकर खड़े नजर आ रहे हैं। दरअसल जर्मनी के राष्ट्रपति का स्वागत करने के लिए कतर के मंत्री समय से एयरपोर्ट ही नहीं पहुंचे थे।
