Protests have erupted worldwide against Israel's actions in Gaza, with demonstrations taking place, including in Madrid, New York, and Washington, D.C.

In Madrid on Thursday, Spanish students marched from Sol Square to the foreign ministry in solidarity with Palestine, calling for an end to European government's support of Israel.

On Wednesday in New York, Columbia University students gathered to demand a Gaza ceasefire.

Also, in Washington, D.C., protesters were arrested, with 49 members being detained.
