Prime Time With Ravish Kumar - August 3, 2021: On Prime Time, Ravish Kumar asks why the government is not paying heed to rising inflation. Excise collections on petrol and diesel jumped 88 per cent in 2020-21, according to a written reply to a question by Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameshwar Teli in the Lok Sabha. According to figures released by the Finance Ministry on Sunday, gross GST revenue collected in July 2021 were ₹ 1,16,393 crore, out of which Central GST is ₹ 22,197 crore, State GST is ₹ 28,541 crore and Integrated GST is ₹ 57,864 crore (including ₹ 27,900 crore collected on import of goods) and cess of ₹ 7,790 crore (including ₹ 815 crore collected on import of goods).
