A report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) has found that 'officers remained calm and professional when subjected to abuse' and 'did not act inappropriately or in a heavy-handed manner' while policing a vigil on Clapham Common.

It was in memory of Sarah Everard who had recently been killed on the site.

But the report said that there was insufficient communication between police commanders about the changing nature of the events on the ground.
