Activists and protesters at the Brady Road landfill protest blockade promised further action to disrupt services following the dismantling of the blockade on Tuesday.

"There will be more blockades. We'll do whatever we have to do to keep this cause alive. This is bigger than just us," Harrison Powder, one of the demonstrators, said.

Winnipeg Police Special Events Commander Gord Spado said the dismantling of the blockade occurred without incident or force. Spado declined to comment whether he thinks the Brady Road landfill or the Prairie Green landfill should be shut down and searched for human remains.

Although the blockade has been removed, members of Camp Morgan are determined to remain on site. Spado spoke with Camp Morgan representatives Joseph Munroe and Tre Delaronde about their plans going forward. Delarond said further action will be taken if more victims are said to have been buried at any landfill.
