It didn’t take much to break the ice when the polar bear pair were reunited with their feeding friends after just 18 days apart.

An attempt at distancing the orphaned cub brothers from human contact didn’t quite go as planned, as the young bears made the long 603 km (375 mile) trek to reunite with workers who used to feed them at the Kharasaveyskoye gas field.

Brothers Khara and Savey, named after two of the workers who gave them tundra treats, were left with nearly 200 kg (440 pounds) of food to give them a fighting start in the wild.

This generous starter snack pack wasn’t enough to keep them away though; clearly, nothing compares to the comfort of some home-cooking from the ones you hold dearest!
