Olympics officials are waiting to hear from the Belarusian sports body on the case of sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya.
She has been given a humanitarian visa by the Polish embassy in Tokyo after she sought political asylum there.
Tsimanouskaya has accused Belarusian officials of trying to force her to fly home after she had complained about her coaches.
