Canada's Conservative Party Leader, and the leader of the Official Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, held a press conference in Vancouver on Friday, where affordable housing was the focus.

Poilievre shared his plan to tackle the issue if he was elected prime minister, and also criticized the Trudeau government for the rising cost of living under their tutelage.

The Conservative leader also criticized Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for contributing to the rising cost of living in Canada, amid ongoing calls for a public inquiry in the allegations of foreign election interference.

His press conference follows Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's earlier $4-billion Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) announcement he made in Guelph, Ont. The HAF is a $4 billion initiative that will provide funding for local governments to fast-track the creation of 100,000 new homes across Canada.
