प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी लगभग 45 घंटे तक कन्याकुमारी में रहेंगे इस दौरान इस पूरे इलाके की सुरक्षा को बेहद सख्त रखा गया है. प्रधानमंत्री इस दौरान हमेशा की तरह SPG के सुरक्षा घेरे में है. इसके अलावा NSG कमांडो की तैनाती भी की गई है. आस पास के इलाके में 2 हजार पुलिसकर्मी तैनात हैं. रॉक मेमोरियल और पास का समद्र तट फिलहाल पर्यटकों के लिए बंद है.
