The Philippines-based Moro Islamic Liberation Front is the biggest armed group in South East Asia.
For the first time in its history, it has endorsed a presidential candidate.
To explain why this is significant, Al Jazeera's @Jamela Alindogan visited the village of Manili in the south, where this news has not been welcomed.
