Canada's first budget since the COVID-19 pandemic is set to be tabled and childcare looks to be on the agenda.
The Liberal government in last year's fall economic statement made childcare a top policy goal, with Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland saying they were laying the groundwork for a Canada-wide early-learning childcare system. One of the next bricks in that system could be a tax credit.
