मोदी सरकार के खिलाफ विपक्ष अविश्वास प्रस्ताव इसलिए लाई थी ताकि मणिपुर पर संसद में चर्चा हो सके. विपक्षी दलों की तरफ से बार-बार ये दोहराया भी गया कि प्रस्ताव का मकसद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी को चुप्पी तोड़ने के लिए मजबूर करना है. देखा जाये तो विपक्ष अपने मकसद में कामयाब रहा है, लेकिन अफसोस की बात यही रही कि कामयाबी का जश्न मनाने के लिए विपक्षी गठबंधन INDIA के नेता लोक सभा में मौजूद नहीं थे. 

The opposition had brought a no-confidence motion against the Modi government so that Manipur could be discussed in the Parliament. It was reiterated time and again by the opposition parties that the purpose of the resolution was to force Prime Minister Modi to break his silence. If seen, the opposition has been successful in its objective, but it is a matter of regret that the leader of the opposition alliance INDIA was not present in the Lok Sabha to celebrate the success.
