NHS Crisis: 350,000 appointments and operations expected to be cancelled

Around 350,000 appointments and operations are expected to be cancelled this week, as junior doctors in England continue their 4-day strike, the most disruptive in NHS history.

The British Medical Association is asking for a 35% pay increase, but the government has called that unreasonable with the Health Secretary insisting the strikes will only put patients at "greater risk".
