The winner of this year's Great Hot Cross Bun competition is Auckland's Daily Bread, for the third year in a row.

Speaking to Breakfast this morning, Daily Bread bun maker Patrick Welzenbach said "I believe it's the first time a bakery has won three times in a row, so I would say it's a hat-trick."
