The gas deal announced by the US and EU is a 'slow move away' from the dependence on Russia and won't help the EU impose more sanctions due to long standing contracts with Gazprom.

Senior Vice President at Rystad Energy, Carlos Torres Diaz, said gas prices are set to remain at record highs for the rest of the year and renewable energy is a solution but will take time to implement.
