A new report from Statistics Canada is raising concerns about the increased health risks of certain diseases Black adults face in Canada.

As Katherine Ward reports, there are certain diseases where the risk of dying is much higher for Black adult Canadians in comparison to their white counterparts.

Advocates and doctors say these numbers highlight a growing need to address systemic issues and racism within the healthcare sector.
