A senior minister in the Nepal government on Thursday extended his support to a demand to declare Nepal a Hindu state, saying if the majority of the population are in favour, it can be done through a referendum.

नेपाल सरकार के एक वरिष्ठ मंत्री ने नेपाल को हिंदू राष्ट्र घोषित करने की मांग का समर्थन करते हुए गुरुवार को कहा कि अगर अधिकतर आबादी इसके पक्ष में है तो इसे जनमत संग्रह के माध्यम से किया जा सकता है। पर्यटन और संस्कृति मंत्री प्रेम अले ने काठमांडू में वर्ल्ड हिंदू फेडरेशन की दो दिवसीय कार्यकारिणी परिषद की बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि नेपाल को हिंदू राष्ट्र घोषित करने की मांग पर विचार किया जा सकता है .
