At least nine people have died and dozens more have been injured after a freight train collided with a passenger train in India's West Bengal state.
India has one of the most extensive railway systems in the world, carrying 12 million passengers every day, but much of its infrastructure is outdated and hundreds of accidents happen every year.

Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports.
