Italian Coast Guard rescues 211 migrants near Lampedusa, less than a week after 60 drowned

The fishing boat was intercepted south of the island of Lampedusa, where it was struggling in rough seas.

Last week, at least 60 migrants, including 12 children, drowned after their boat broke up off the southern coast of Italy's mainland
