With over a 1,000 people dead, 33 million people displaced, and a third of the country underwater, the recent flooding in Pakistan is being described as a "humanitarian disaster of epic proportions" by the country's Climate Change Minister.

Millions of people's livelihoods have been washed away, and this year there has been a 400% increase in monsoon rains. So, is South Asia now the epicentre of a crisis in our climate?

BBC Newsnight's Science and Technology Correspondent Kate Lamble speaks to Sara Hayat from Climate Action Now! Pakistan, Dr Fahad Saeed from Climate Analytics and other climate experts.
