Migrants intercepted in the Channel expected to increase

The UK Border Force expects the number of migrants intercepted whilst crossing the Channel to increase again today, after 254 were recorded on Sunday.

Numbers are increasing despite the government's Rwanda plan and the new Nationality and Borders Bill which became law on Thursday, making it a criminal offence to knowingly arrive in the UK illegally.
