Migrant activists burned an effigy of U.S. President Donald Trump just opposite the U.S. border wall in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday during a protest against his administration's immigration policies.

Marching and chanting, "Trump, we will not pay for your wall," the activists also called on voters to reject the re-election of the president during Tuesday's vote.

Trump has taken a hard line toward legal and illegal immigration, including sharply curbing refugee admissions every year since taking office in 2017. Democratic rival and former VP Joe Biden has pledged to raise refugee admissions to 125,000 a year if he defeats Trump.
