A museum and conservation cenre at Mexico's Chapultepec Zoo raises awareness about the critically endangered axolotl salamander. The species, exclusive to Mexico, faces increasing threats due to habitat loss.
Renowned for its remarkable regenerative abilities, the axolotl can regrow limbs, mend tissue, and even address heart and brain ailments.
The amphibian has almost disappeared from its native environment.
