Since the beginning of the pandemic, the United States has been turning back migrants who cross into the US territory illegally without giving them the chance to ask for asylum.
Many have been dropped over the border into cities in northern Mexico, which are in the grip of organised crime.
Hundreds are now camped out in one of the worst hit areas - Reynosa.
