देश के लोकप्रिय गीतकार और लेखक जावेद अख्तर एक बार फिर चर्चा में हैं. इस बार उन्होंने हिंदू धर्म और लोकतंत्र पर कुछ ऐसी बातें कही हैं जिसकी तरफ सबका ध्यान आकर्षित हो रहा है. मुंबई में आयोजित एक दीपोत्स्व में उन्होंने कहा कि इस देश में सहिष्णुता अगर किसी की वजह से बची है तो सिर्फ हिंदुओं की वजह से ही बची है. अपनी बातचीत में वे हिंदू धर्म की तारीफ करते करते उन्होंने जय सिया राम का नारा भी लगाया और मंच के सामने बैठे लोगों से भी जय सिया राम का नारा लगाने को कहा.
