The Chancellor has offered a brief lifeline to retail, hospitality and leisure firms, with one-off grants worth up to £9,000 to help them through the weeks of lockdown. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

But business leaders say that won't be enough to cover immediate costs and are calling for a more comprehensive long term plan to stop otherwise viable firms from going bust.
