Labour MP Lisa Nandy has conceded that the new restrictions are "absolutely" the right thing to do but believes the government are "always too slow to act".

The Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs says concerns about the new coronavirus strain had been raised in parliament but that they had been "ridiculed and mocked" by the Prime Minister.
