Liberals promise $30B over 5 years to create a national child-care system

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland announced the federal government will invest roughly $30 billion over five years to help offset the cost of early learning and child-care services. The government's stated goal is to drive down child-minding costs within five years to just $10 a day per child, nationwide.
