Liberal Democrats will support Northern Ireland deal if it 'makes sense'

Opposition parties are continuing to give their - conditional - support to the agreement Rishi Sunak is looking to announce on Northern Ireland.

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey said the issues on trade between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK had been a "real brake on economic success".

As such, he said that "if the deal makes sense," Liberal Democrats will back it.
