Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday he was self-isolating after several members of his entourage fell ill with COVID-19, including someone he worked in close proximity with and had been in close contact with all of the previous day.
Putin, 68, has been fully vaccinated with the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V, receiving his second shot in April.
"Let's see how Sputnik V works in practice. I have quite high levels of antibodies," Putin said during a government meeting on video conference.
On Monday, the president met Russian Paralympians and travelled to western Russia to observe joint military drills with Belarus.
