Labour's Bridget Phillipson has criticised Paul Scully's remarks that there are "no-go areas" in parts of London and Birmingham where Muslim people live.

The shadow cabinet minister described his comments as "completely unacceptable and wrong".

Mr Scully, who served as minister for London until the last reshuffle, made the claim during an interview with BBC Radio London.
