Kiran Mazumdar Shaw On Budget 2021: Was Expecting Research Incentive For Private Sector

Budget Analysis With Prannoy Roy: Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, the chief of biopharmaceutical firm Biocon, said that she thinks the Union Budget for the upcoming year was a good one, however, she was also expecting to see some "research incentive" for the private sector. "The government has done well in allocating budgetary spends on infrastructure and research and innovation. I would have liked to see research incentive for the private sector. But, at the moment the government is focussing on strengthening the public ecosystem," she said.
