The King has become the first British monarch to address the French Senate, as he told the chamber that the UK will "always be one of the closest allies and best friends of France."

King Charles spoke of the Entente Cordiale, which his great, great grandfather King Edward VII signed up to, and promised he would do "whatever I can" to strengthen Anglo-Franco relations - as our royal correspondent Laura Bundock reports.
