In honour of King Charles III's coronation on Saturday, Canada held its own commemoration from across the pond in Ottawa.

There were live performances, addresses, and musical interludes to celebrate the King's historic crowning – the first anointing ceremony in over 70 years. Also unveiled were the newly-designed King Charles III stamp and coin by the Royal Canadian Mint.

“The celebratory event will bring together artists and speakers who reflect the values that Canada and His Majesty share, such as protecting the environment, service to others, and celebrating our country’s diversity,” a statement from Canadian Heritage said.
