Kamala Harris closing in on a VP pick | DW News

US Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to introduce her running mate at a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Harris, who is the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, has interviewed around half a dozen potential candidates in recent days. Front-runners to serve as her vice-presidential choice include Governor of Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro, Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly. US media reports said that the two finalists in the VP selection process are Josh Shapiro and Tim Walz. Before that choice is made, Harris is expected to be officially named by the Democratic Party as their candidate for president. Her upcoming rally is part of a tour of swing states, where Republican and Democratic voters are evenly divided.
