???? Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told US lawmakers that Tokyo will gift 250 new cherry trees Washington to mark the U.S.'s 250th birthday in 2026.

Dating back to 1912, Japan has given the U.S. some 3,000 cherry trees as a symbolic gesture of friendship between the two nations, dusting D.C.’s iconic Tidal Basin a pink hue each spring.
