The House Jan. 6 committee convened a hearing on Thursday to show evidence of how Trump spent three hours of watching his supporters storming Capitol Hill on TV and refused to condemn the violence or call it off.

Matt Pottinger, a deputy national security adviser for Trump testified at the hearing that the mob was chanting “Hang Mike Pence” while Trump tweeted condemning Pence.

The hearing also aired a previously unseen video outtake of President Donald Trump saying, “I don’t want to say the election is over” the day after the riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Meanwhile, recordings of Secret Service radio transmissions revealed agents asking for messages to be relayed telling their families goodbye.

Jackson Proskow has more details on how the last hearing unfolded.
