Jailed Imran Khan urging people to protest over seats 'stolen' in Pakistan election, says sister

The sister of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan has said her brother, who is currently in jail, is urging people to protest against the contested result of the country's recent election.

Speaking to Sky's Cordelia Lynch in Lahore, Aleema Khan claimed seats have been "stolen" from Mr Khan's supporters, with the democratic process failing to recognise the rights of 15 million voters.

Mr Khan, leader of the PTI party, has already claimed victory from behind bars, via a video generated by AI, but the official results suggest the vote was won by his rival, Nawaz Sharif.
