The Israeli Prime Minister says the "remarkable" operation to rescue four hostages held captive by Hamas required "ingenuity and courage of the highest degree".

Israeli forces rescued four hostages in a daylight operation. They were taken by Hamas on 7 October.

Benjamin Netanyahu said he expected Hamas to release the remaining 120 hostages but if they don't, Israel would do "whatever it takes to get them all back home".
