Israel's war against Hamas has taken a significant turn with ground troops involved in "expanded operations" inside the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation and asked people to prepare for a long war that he called "the fight of our lives" - as Sky's defence and security editor Deborah Haynes reports.
