Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis says "there certainly isn't a Jewish family in the UK that hasn't been affected in one way or another" by the events in Israel.

At least 700 Israelis are reported to have died since the attack by Hamas began, and around 493 have died in Gaza as Israel retaliated with airstrikes.
