It’s been 12 days since the brutal, unprecedented attack in Israel by Hamas, and the disappearance of Toronto woman Judih Weinstein Haggai and her husband Nir Oz.

Since their last interaction, on Oct. 7, daughter Iris Haggai Liniado has been anxiously awaiting an update from her parents.

The couples’ phones have since been traced to Gaza by the Israeli government, and Liniado believes they may have been taken hostage by Hamas, but fears the worst.

“What’s the right solution? I don’t know. There isn’t one. Whatever we do, innocent people get hurt, and I know my mom wouldn’t want that. It’s heartbreaking,” Liniado told Global News on Thursday.

Caryn Lieberman has the latest.
