Thousands of Iranians took to the streets of Tehran, Iran, on Sunday to mark the 45th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
In a televised speech, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi accused the United States of supporting Israel's offensive in Gaza.
“We propose to expel the Zionist regime (Israel) from the United Nations," Raisi said, adding, “Know that the Zionist regime is doomed; they just want to bide their time."
The anniversary comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, with groups backed by Iran carrying out attacks on Israeli and US targets.
