Actor-politician Kamal Haasan, in a conversation with NDTV, says he was very close to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MG Ramachandran and invoking him at all his meetings is a salute to MGR. Mr Haasan also said that his party Makkal Needhi Maiam's tagline is also the name of an MGR movie and how even he does not project himself as a 'good man' in films, just like MGR.
