Instagram users around the world are seeing an explosion in the amount of fraud and hacking taking place right now – losing their accounts and struggling to get them back.

Elicia Davies is a Toronto model, with more than 5,800 followers on Instagram. It's her online portfolio – a key to getting work, until she accidentally clicked an Instagram message one day, and everything changed. But Davies isn’t alone in her plight.
