Former prime minister Imran Khan is hugely popular, but he’s not able to contest Pakistan's elections elections, as he’s in jail on charges widely decried as politically motivated.

His supporters face a harsh crackdown, many are campaigning whilst in hiding - as the army deny they are meddling in politics.
