ICJ stops short of ordering Israel to end its war with Hamas

An international court has stopped short of ordering Israel to end its war in Gaza but demanded that it does everything in its power to prevent acts of genocide.

The ruling by judges at the International Court of Justice, comes as part of South Africa's case alleging that Israel's military action against Hamas in Gaza is genocidal.

The court did not order a ceasefire, and is still considering it's verdict on the most serious charge.

Israel has been ordered to report back to the court within one month.
