Rishi Sunak has denied contemplating resigning in the middle of the election campaign, saying he is "energised about the vision" his party is putting forward.

Mr Sunak said he hoped that "veterans could find it in their hearts to forgive me" for leaving the D-Day commemorations in France early to attend at TV interview back in the UK.
