Chair of Commons Standards Committee Chris Bryant has said he believes the Prime Minister "has lied repeatedly" and "knowingly", following the publication of a report into lockdown-breaking parties at Downing Street.

Mr Bryant said "the lockdown rules didn't say anywhere about work events, they simply said no gatherings were allowed, and these were gatherings and the PM was at them."

Mr Bryant has recused himself from the Commons Standards Committee, which could call for the Prime Minister's suspension from the House from anywhere between "one and ten days" should they find he mislead parliament.
